The side effects of high blood sugar can create a number of health risks for an individual with diabetes.  One, in particular, is damage to the vessels that carry the blood to organs in the body.  Complications that can arise from this are:  an increased susceptibility to cardiac diseases, kidney malfunctions and nerve damage.  Since the body relies on glucose for energy, when the cells aren't receiving the necessary amounts to function, the system resorts to pulling the energy from fat cells.  This can result in high levels of acid in the blood.

There are many ways to lower high level of glucose in the blood without altering your lifestyle.  A steady regimen of exercise will keep the levels of blood sugar down, as well lower the risk of infections.  Cinnamon has become an increasingly popular homeopathic remedy to high blood glucose .  Ranges of as little as 1 gram up to 6 grams per day have proven to relieve symptoms of hyperglycemia.  There are many ways to monitor blood glucose levels at home.  Finger stick blood glucose test is one of them.

This is done by pricking the finger with a needle to obtain a drop of blood, and then smearing it on a stick to test the blood glucose level.  Also, there are several medications that can be prescribed to help reduce an increase in blood sugar.  It is important to be aware of any side effects, as many medications can affect other parts of the body in an adverse way.  The most prominent way to control high blood sugar is through diet.  Foods can be beneficial or adverse, depending on what is consumed.  Balance intake of carbohydrates with fruits and vegetables.  Add wheat grains to the menu, and stay away from foods with high carbohydrate content.

develops that destroys the cells. Such a process leads to blurred vision,tingling,loss of feeling in the extremities.

Symptoms of high blood glucose  can be difficult to detect.  Sometimes, they are very subtle and slight; so much, high blood sugar can remain untreated for a number of years.  Symptoms include a higher frequency of urination, drowsiness, and blurry vision.  With women, vaginal infections are also a symptom. 

If there is a history of high blood sugar in your family, then it may be beneficial to visit a medical professional and find out your number.  Number refers to the level of sugar in the blood.  A normal number is anywhere between 90 and 150.  Testing for high blood glucose  may save your life and offer you an insight to a healthier way of living.
